Position: Academic Counselor for Alternative Education #8688.00
The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools office acts as an intermediate service agency between the California Department of Education and the 33 school districts in San Bernardino County to help meet the educational needs of all children county-wide. We are committed to working with our school districts, other agencies, families and the community at large by providing services, information and leadership, always with a focus on students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Possession of a valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) - School Counseling Credential;
• Two (2) years of experience working with students in an alternative education setting;
• Two (2) years providing academic, vocational, employment, and/or related services for youths;
• Possession of a valid California driver's license and use of personal transportation is required. A SBCSS vehicle not provided. Copy of valid California Driver's License is required at time of hire. A copy is not required to be submitted in application packet .

NECESSARY MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION
• Completed Ed-Join online application (all fields must be filled in);
• Letter of introduction outlining skills and abilities as they relate to this position;
• Current resume;
• Copy of valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) - School Counseling Credential;
• Three (3) Letters of reference ( dated & signed within three years). Applicants must meet minimum qualifications and submit all necessary material on-line prior to the stated deadline to qualify as a candidate.
