Electrical Project Designer - Power & Lighting Design

Locations: Edmonds, WA OR San Bernardino CA

** Partial Remote//Hybrid- 3 days home, 2 days office **

Position Overview The Electrical Project Designer will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for various projects. This role involves collaborating with a team of engineers and architects to ensure that electrical designs are efficient, sustainable, and meet all relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
• Collaborate with project teams to assess and define project requirements.
• Utilize AutoCAD MEP and Revit for creating detailed design drawings.
• Perform load calculations and sizing for distribution, feeders, and branch circuits.
• Ensure designs comply with NEC and California Title 24 standards.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure proper implementation of designs.
• Provide support during project construction and installation phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP and Revit.
• Strong knowledge of power systems, lighting design, and fire alarm systems.
• Familiarity with NEC and CA Title 24 regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
