JOB TITLE: Assistant Program Manager-FSP (Licensed)

Reports to: Clinical Director

Hours: Full-Time

Classification: Exempt

Summary: The Assistant Program Manager is a member of the San Bernardino FSP interdisciplinary team. As a Mental Health professional, the Asst PM will provide coordination and clinical support to the team and for the SB Director of Clinical Services as determined by that program’s requirements and needs. The essential job function is to manage service team members by ensuring contractual and regulatory agency requirements are followed.

The Asst PM will act with the authority of the SB Director position when the Director is not available.

Duties

The following reflects essential functions for this job but does not restrict other tasks which may be assigned:

Leadership, Administration, Oversight
  • Manage assigned service team members ensuring:
  • Staff provide clients with quality, timely, professional care services in accordance with Agency’s mission and Values.
  • Conduct weekly clinical team meetings to review caseloads.
  • Services provided comply with regulatory agency requirements, contractual obligations and funding sources.
  • Effective, professional communication within and outside of the office and effectively resolves problems relating to the provision of services.
  • Assume leadership of the SBC FSP Expansion team when Director is unavailable.
  • Attend Program Manager Meetings as appropriate or at the request of the Director.
Direct Service, Support, Documentation and Data Collection
  • Manage a reduced member case load and assume all job duties as specified for a Service Coordinator II position, including the following:
  • Make comprehensive bio-psycho-social evaluations of level of function, support network, adequacy of living arrangements, financial status, physical health, level of self-care, complete Adult Initial Assessments, treatment plans, and all other required DBH documentation.
  • Provide ongoing support, crisis intervention, and/or therapy as needed.
  • Provide oversight to team members; provide access to training/learning opportunities internally or in the community.
  • Track timely submission of DCRS and other documentation in adherence with DBH.
Skills

Leadership, motivation and management desires or experience;
Strong clinical assessment, interpersonal and intervention skills. Accuracy in charting required documentation. Ability to train or guide staff to achieve confidence and ability to work independently in the field. Strong organizational skills and ability to delegate tasks to staff and monitor outcomes.

Qualifications

Licensed (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC) required, with at least 2 years’ experience working with homeless, mentally ill adults in a community setting. Management experience preferred. Clinical and case management experience is essential knowledge of housing first and recovery model theories and practices. Must have solid ability to chart patient progress to meet DBH documentation requirements using an Electronic Health Record System (Welligent).

Candidate must have computer fluency with Windows application. Valid California driver’s license and insurance required.

Work with people experiencing homelessness whether on the streets, in shelters or other places of habitation or services, may present inherent challenges and difficulties such as: exposure to bed bugs or other infestations, unpleasant smells or odors, individuals who may have poor hygiene or unclean homes due to homelessness, mental health symptoms, or poverty. Additionally, in working with our members, employees may encounter instances of profanity, sexually explicit or derogatory language, or verbal or physical expressions of anger and trauma.
