California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking an Additional/Dual Appointment – Clinical Social Worker, CIM. This is a part‑time, limited‑term (12‑month) position offering up to 40 hours per month at California Institution for Men (CIM) in Chino, CA. - Provide clinical social work services to inmates in a safety‑focused environment.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, conduct individual and group counseling, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate case files and documentation in accordance with agency policies.
- Participate in crisis intervention, de‑escalation, and safety protocols as required.
- Contribute to the facility’s mission of public safety and community reintegration through treatment and education.
- Ensure confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical standards, including E‑Verify, Live Scan, and TB testing requirements.
- Work outside of normal hours; time worked is not considered overtime.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- Minimum of a master's degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Release of a Clinical Social Worker license within four years of appointment (if not yet licensed).
- Experience working in correctional, forensic, or safety‑focused settings is strongly preferred.
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation, if required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must meet minimum qualifications as listed in the Class Specification; verify through unofficial transcripts or diploma when applying.
- Desirable:
