Must-Have:
Must have at least 2 years of Cath Lab experience.
Must have PCI experience.
Pacemaker experience is highly preferred.
RNs must be able to scrub.

Experience with procedural sedation is preferred.

Description:

The unit consists of 5 suites.
The average number of cases per day varies greatly.
Key responsibilities include scrubbing cases, maintaining a sterile field, room turnover, transport, and documentation.
Common diagnoses and types of patients include structural issues, PCI, EVARs, peripheral angio, pacemakers, stents, axillaries, and coronaries.
The charting system used is Cerner and Merge.
There is always a resource available during regular hours.
Currently, there are no staffing for Cath Lab techs, only RNs who can scrub.
Shifts include both 8 and 12-hour schedules starting at 7 AM.
There is a high need for staff on Mondays and Fridays.
Weeknight call requirements include one weeknight of call every week, self-sign up, beginning when the department closes for the day.
Weekend call is scheduled in rotation for all staff, requiring one full weekend every five weeks.
Holiday call is covered by self-sign up and will be assigned if no one signs up.
Call response time is 30 minutes.
Floating to IR may be required, and RNs could also potentially float to the Ambulatory Care Unit to assist with admissions.
Surgical scrubs will be provided for staff.
There will be an average of 36-40 hours of department-specific orientation, depending on skill set.
The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
Trauma level is acute.
