The San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health is recruiting for Electronic Health Records (EHR) Business Systems Analyst II
. EHR Business Systems Analyst II's evaluate existing business processes/systems/workflows and develop business applications to enhance delivery of electronic health records services. Assignments include studies in workflows and technology integration; projects requiring research, analysis, and solution development; interacting with all levels of technical, administrative, and professional staff as well as leading a team and assigning project tasks to team members.

About DBH

The Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) is responsible for providing mental health and substance use disorder services to county residents who are experiencing major mental illness or substance abuse related issues. DBH provides mental health and substance use disorder prevention and treatment services to all age groups, with a primary emphasis on treating children/youth who may be seriously emotionally disturbed, adults who are experiencing a serious and persistent mental illness, and individuals who are experiencing substance use disorders.

Conditions of Employment

Pre-Employment Process:
Prior to appointment, applicants must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting and medical exam, which may include drug and/or TB testing. Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a permanent U.S. resident.

Availability:
Some positions require availability for night and swing shifts, weekends, and on-call, including holidays as needed. Indicate availability on application.

Required Experience and Education

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience performing IT business systems analysis or information systems analysis in a healthcare environment, including four (4) of the following areas: requirements gathering, end user acceptance testing, process mapping, workflow diagramming, documenting business rules, feasibility studies, and cost/benefit analysis.

EDUCATION:

Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed coursework from an accredited college or university in information technology, computer science, business administration, healthcare administration or a closely related field. A list of coursework is required unless you possess a completed bachelor's degree or higher in a qualifying field. Education Substitution:
One (1) year of additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required education.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience solving technical issues, interacting with end users and program developers, and acting in a lead capacity for other technical staff, in addition to providing infrastructure support in an electronic health care system, preferably in a Behavioral Health Care setting.
