Position Title: Senior Logistics Manager

Reports To: Director of Logistics / Supply Chain Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

The Senior Logistics Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing transportation, logistics, distribution, and customer service operations across multiple facilities and regions. This role oversees carrier management, freight execution, inventory movement, network optimization, and operational performance while ensuring exceptional customer service and cost-effective logistics solutions. The Senior Logistics Manager serves as a key leader in driving continuous improvement initiatives, developing logistics talent, and supporting the company's strategic growth objectives.

• Lead daily logistics and transportation operations across multiple sites, customers, and distribution networks.
• Develop and execute logistics strategies that improve service levels, operational efficiency, and overall cost performance.
• Manage carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and oversee transportation procurement activities.
• Establish and monitor KPIs related to on-time delivery, freight cost, inventory movement, service levels, and operational performance.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on business objectives.
• Identify and resolve transportation, capacity, inventory, and service challenges through proactive planning and execution.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, and cost reduction.
• Oversee logistics budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, customer requirements, and safety standards.
• Manage and develop Logistics Managers, Supervisors, Dispatch Teams, Transportation Coordinators, and related personnel.
• Conduct regular business reviews, operational audits, and site visits to maintain consistency and operational excellence.
• Support major customer implementations, network expansions, and strategic business initiatives.
• Provide leadership during peak seasons, operational disruptions, and critical customer escalations.

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 7+ years of logistics, transportation, supply chain, brokerage, freight management, or 3PL experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing managers, supervisors, or multi-site operations.
• Strong understanding of transportation management, carrier relations, routing, freight optimization, and distribution operations.
• Experience with in a fast-paced 3PL, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.
• Proven ability to manage large teams, multiple locations, and complex customer relationships.
• Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.

• Multi-site distribution or transportation management.
• Experience with TMS, WMS, ERP, and transportation analytics platforms.
• Exposure to Truck Mate, SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, or similar systems.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
• High-volume distribution, e-commerce, retail, or manufacturing logistics environments.

• Ability to travel periodically to regional facilities, customer sites, and carrier locations as business needs require.

• Availability outside standard business hours as needed to support critical operations and customer requirements.
