Store Service General Manager is responsible for monitoring and sending service levels, tracking costs, and initiating continuous improvement. The Store Service General Manager will lead not only the supply chain team but also regional Terminal Managers to build one comprehensive supply chain network. This may include participating in vendor setup related to how best to move products within our supply network.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for the development and implementation of processes and procedures improving service strategy and cost control plans for the entire operation
- Develops appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction
- Coordinates with other operational resources, developing the strategic and tactical direction for all locations, establishing management processes and metrics for performance, and being accountable for financial performance of the Logistics business
- Member of the operations staff, responsible for routinely reporting on department KPIs along with appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary
- Develop and maintain a six-month rolling demand and supply plan for assigned products (cross-dock, inventoried goods, transfers, and imports)
- Analyze a vast amount of data, such as suppliers' production schedules and production reconciliation reports, appointments, and Requested Delivery Dates on Purchase Orders
- Review underperforming areas in the chain which may be due to missed delivery times and routes, warehouse space constraints, weather patterns, stocking program limitations, etc.
- Utilize existing or develop new technological tools, such as relational database management systems, to analyze information in a faster and more efficient manner
- Suggest improvements to cut costs and improve the entire process
- Meet with Logistics, Warehousing, and Inventory Control leaders to make recommendations based on careful research and predictions
- Collaborate with colleagues from various departments Logistics, Operations, client's Ops, and Project Management teams
- Communicate with vendors to address problems, assist the client's Ops team in negotiating better deals, and form relationships
- Lead the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed-upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Direct and coordinate global supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction
- Strong leadership abilities in proven logistics field

- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to develop and update large Microsoft Excel documents, apply statistical formulas, and create pivot tables
- Strong analytical ability to translate data into actionable information
- Advanced Excel proficiency and knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Business Objects, Business Intelligence, Access)
- Strong proficiency in advanced Excel, RMS, and WMS
- Computer proficiency, including Planner, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Must be able to interact with all levels of management and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to manage and lead a diverse workforce.
- 2 4 years' experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in field (or similar) preferred
- Strong knowledge of data analysis, forecasting, and Excel
- Knowledge of Kaizen principles a plus
