Welder & Fabrication Technician

Universal Air Systems, a division of Air Lift Company, is seeking a motivated and dependable Welder & Fabrication Technician to join our manufacturing team!

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have previous welding experience, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. This position will primarily involve welding and fabrication, with opportunities to learn and operate additional manufacturing equipment. Experience operating a laser cutter or press brake is not required. We are willing to provide comprehensive training for the right candidate.

What You'll Do:

• Perform welding and fabrication of production components
• Read and work from drawings, measurements, and fabrication instructions
• Prepare, fit, and assemble components for welding
• Maintain consistent weld quality and workmanship
• Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
• Learn to operate our laser cutting equipment and press brake
• Inspect completed parts for quality and accuracy
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

What You'll Bring:

• Previous welding experience required
• Fabrication experience preferred
• Ability to accurately use basic measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Mechanically inclined and willing to learn new equipment
• Dependable with a strong work ethic
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to follow instructions and established manufacturing procedures
• Experience with laser cutters and press brakes is a plus, but not required
