Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Director Nursing ICU for St. Bernardine Medical Center, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating the overall performance of our critical care services. You will oversee Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Dialysis services.
Every day, you will direct the operations, work with senior leadership on key initiatives, and collaborate with front‑line leaders to ensure we maintain high standards of patient care in fast‑paced environments. You will advise medical staff, department heads, and administrators on matters related to patient care, clinical best practices, and strategies. You will communicate the organization’s goals to the staff as we constantly seek to better serve our community by improving patient experience and delivering exceptional quality care.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be an experienced director with a track record of success in mid‑to‑large hospitals overseeing critical care/ICU services. You must be competent, confident, and possess excellent communication skills both one‑on‑one and in front of groups. Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent education and experience, and a Master’s degree in nursing or related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) required. - Minimum experience: Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience required.
- Required Licensure: Registered Nursing License (RN) in California and Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
$72.88 - $108.42 /hour.
