As a Security Officer - Unarmed Property Patrol in San Bernardino, CA

Learn more: As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government human services location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, maintain a visible presence, and support staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service.
You will monitor assigned areas, respond to security‑related concerns, document activities, and help to deter incidents through attentive observation and professional reporting. Bring agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a supportive team.

- Provide customer service to staff, clients, and visitors by following site‑specific procedures, security‑related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, public service areas, parking lots, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns for reporting.
- Monitor access points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and assist with directing visitors to appropriate service areas.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including de‑escalating conflicts when appropriate and requesting law enforcement or medical assistance when needed.
- Document security‑related activity, incidents, and patrol findings in written reports and logs, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
