Job Title

Municipal Police Guard

Located under the authority of the Mayor and the Head of Municipal Police, in liaison with the elected delegate for security and the Director General of Security, you will maintain public order, safety, security, and cleanliness within a team of four officers. You will also play a role in prevention and maintain a close relationship with the community.

- Perform surveillance patrols and any intervention to protect people and property

- Maintain the order of public events and gathering places

- Welcome and inform the public (prevention and regulation)

- Implement the Mayor's police decisions in matters of security, tranquility, cleanliness, and public order

- Ensure the protection of communal buildings, school premises, and places of worship

- Record traffic violations

- Actively participate in joint operations with our institutional partners (national police, prefecture, etc.)

- Write reports and minutes

- Perform the necessary checks for the smooth running of the "Vacation Tranquility" operation

Skills:

Know the powers and duties of the mayor, understand the actors and stakeholders in security and prevention, apply communication, conflict management, mediation techniques, as well as techniques of arrest and investigation, understand the functioning of public administrations and institutions, decision-making processes and circuits, demonstrate rigor, a strong team spirit, autonomy, and exemplary behavior, have a keen sense of public service, initiative, and good physical condition, aptitude for dialogue and mediation, possess real relational qualities, be able to report to the hierarchy in writing or orally.

Profile:
Municipal Police Guard, holder or winner of the competition, mandatory B permit, mandatory initial application training / mandatory continuing education, professional experience in a similar position is appreciated. Available means: mandatory uniform, bulletproof vests, category B type PSA Glock weaponry, cinematometer, reading chip, handcuffs, telescopic batons, tear gas generator, radios, smartphones, vehicle, computers.

Hours:

39 hours per week (including public holidays), evening and weekend work according to events and manifestations, possibility to work up to 25 hours of overtime.
