Family Case Specialist

The Family Case Specialist is responsible for providing case management services to families enrolled in the subsidized childcare program. This role ensures all activities are performed in full compliance with funding source contracts, program guidelines, and agency policies and procedures. This is an on-site position; remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
    Associate's degree (AA) or higher preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
  • Experience working with childcare providers and/or CalWORKs participants receiving subsidized childcare assistance preferred; working knowledge of County welfare systems preferred.
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday, with flexibility for weekends and special events as needed.
  • Valid California Driver's License, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance required; ability to travel as needed.
  • Must successfully complete and maintain required clearances (Live Scan, DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index), TB test, drug screening, physical exam, and required immunizations (Tdap, MMR; Influenza optional).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and administrative skills with the ability to manage complex program requirements accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and work effectively with diverse populations in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
