Job Overview

The Shipping Lead is responsible for real-time analysis, coordination and balance of Shipping Operations including allocation of picking/loading tasks. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Recording and reporting of outbound deliveries.
  • Provides support in reporting, researching and resolving issues that occur in the interface between host system and WMS in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Provides administrative support for the Shipping Managers.
  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all needed systems.
  • Support Picking and Loading operation as needed.
  • Under direct supervision of the DC Shipping Managers. Work is performed within standard policies and procedures with opportunity for unreviewed decision-making.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Starting hourly pay at $21.00 - $24.00/hour (Based on experience)

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of warehouse experience including leadership experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Skilled at multi‑tasking and managing competing priorities.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, SAP and Red Prairie.
  • Detail‑oriented and accurate.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly recognise and diagnose trends and patterns in productivity data.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours determined by the needs of the department, including weekends and evenings.
  • Ability to communicate proactively and effectively, including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures as required by the position.
