Job SummaryThe Outbound Loading Lead is responsible for overseeing daily outbound shipping operations, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient loading of tires for distribution. This role leads a team of warehouse associates, maintains productivity standards, enforces safety compliance, and ensures all shipments meet customer and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate outbound loading operations for tire shipments
- Supervise, train, and support warehouse associates assigned to outbound loading
- Ensure trailers are loaded safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards
- Verify correct product, quantities, and load configurations prior to shipment
- Monitor workflow to meet daily production and shipping deadlines
- Enforce all safety policies, including PPE and equipment operation compliance
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily goals and expectations
- Identify and resolve operational issues in real time
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
- Collaborate with supervisors, inventory control, and transportation teams
- Track and report productivity, errors, and loading metrics
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of warehouse experience (tire or heavy material handling preferred)
- Previous leadership or lead experience strongly preferred
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Ability to lift and handle tires (up to 75 lbs.) repeatedly
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments
- Leadership and team coordination
- Problem-solving and decision-making
- Time management and productivity focus
- Safety awareness and enforcement
- Warehouse setting with varying temperatures
- Exposure to heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Shift work, including overtime and weekends as needed
