Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
  • 5 years of experience in developing internet products and technologies.
  • 3 years of experience in people management.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 7 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, marketing, finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 5 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., general management, business operations, consulting, strategic marketing or similar).
  • Experience in incentive programs, partner monetization programs, or creator economy.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-impact executive presentations on complex technical and business topics.
About the job

As a part of the Creator Monetization team, you will be responsible for driving and evolving the You Tube Partner Program and monetization experiences to meet the needs of creators around the world as our landscape, products and business objectives evolve. You will set the strategy, design, and execute the programs that delivered $100B in earnings to 3M+ creators over the past 4 years.

Your team will be accountable for monetization features such as business sharing for ads, subscriptions, fan funding, as well as incentive programs (where we have big ambitions to do more) collaborating with the relevant product peers.

As a part of this team, your mission is to attract, invest in, and recognize all promising and trusted creators to ensure they lean into You Tube, from small channels who are just getting traction to our biggest and most established creators, YPP is at the heart of the creator economy. You will build global programs and experiences that help make You Tube the best place for creators to grow their channels and build their businesses.

As Group Product Manager, you will lead the Product Management team responsible for YPP’s programs, flexible incentive funds, and monetization experiences, as the creator economy, You Tube’s business, and the competitive landscape is rapidly evolving with the rise of short form video, social shopping, and brand sponsor ships.

Your role is charged with evolving monetization programs and experiences to ensure that You Tube remains the most rewarding place for Creators. You will be coming in at a critical time with an opportunity to influence our future direction.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $240000 - $333000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
  • Develop compelling creator monetization product and program strategy in a rapidly evolving and complex environment.
  • Define product requirements, co-lead product design and development, and own product roadmaps.
  • Lead collaboration with engineering, UX, go-to-market, legal, finance, and others to deliver excellent solutions for creators.
  • Align leadership through effective communication and navigating tradeoffs with objective, data-driven criteria.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing product team by attracting, growing, and retaining exceptional talent.
