Senior Visual Designer, You Tube on TVs

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of visual design experience in product design or UX/UI design.
• Experience using Figma to design, maintain component libraries, and design systems.
• Include a portfolio, website, or other relevant link to your work in your resume.

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross‑functional organization.
• 2 years of experience leading design projects.
• Experience with motion design, interactive prototyping, and front‐end web technologies such as HTML and CSS.
• Experience with AI‑assisted design workflows and connecting design systems to development environments.
• Experience designing and implementing user interfaces for TV platforms or smart TV devices.

As a Senior Visual Designer on the You Tube Living Room UX team, you will shape the visual future of You Tube on TVs, You Tube’s largest and fastest‑growing screen. You will craft the language of TV design systems, elevate aesthetics, and pioneer the intersection of design systems and AI‑assisted prototyping. You will build beautiful, cohesive, and accessible experiences that bring the best of You Tube to millions of living rooms worldwide.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $159,000 - $231,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.

• Craft, maintain, and evolve the Living Room design system component library, driving alignment with engineering and core foundations through robust documentation, variable consistency, and token adoption.
• Lead the integration of AI‑assisted workflows into our design pipeline to enable rapid, high‑fidelity prototyping of next‑generation visual styles and experimental TV interaction patterns.
• Leverage principal contributors to explore concept development and influence product, visual style, and product commitments.
• Defend You Tube products, brand promise, and unique value proposition amid interlaced relationship with You Tube’s master brand.
• Partner with visual programs within our organization to evolve and apply new design styles and aesthetics for our suite of products.
