• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience working in a complex, cross‑functional organization.
• Experience designing tools for others to create with (web and mobile).
• Experience creating effects for video platforms.
• A strong foundation in design systems thinking.

At You Tube, we are part of Google, focusing on providing an intuitive design for third‑party effect creators. As an Interaction Designer you will enable creators to build exciting new effects within You Tube’s web‑based Effect Maker tool, and will design user experiences with Effects in Shorts and in the You Tube Main app. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross‑functional teams to unlock new opportunities such as monetization, custom branded effects, and to help shape the next‑generation of camera, effect picker, and swipe interactions.

• Design, validate, and refine feature experiences for You Tube’s web‑based Effect Maker, and experiences with Effects in Shorts and Creation within the You Tube Main app.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross‑functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide creative, thoughtful solutions.
• Work with UXR to understand and anticipate user trends and needs and iterate on design solutions.
• Independently own and execute the design process end‑to‑end.
• Produce deliverables such as mocks, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and carefully crafted visual specs.

US: $132,000 - $190,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.
