FWS – Engineering Lab Student Assistant

Position Description

• Being part of our Open Lab program in the Fab Lab.
• Operating Fab Lab equipment, like laser cutter, 3D printer.
• Assisting students using the Fab Lab equipment and help them with their projects.
• Interact with students and instructors to determine their needs.
• Organizing tools, supplies and lab equipment and assist in maintaining a clean lab and work environment.
• Support the instructional labs for Physics and Engineering, set up lab equipment for instructions and remove after class.
• Report broken and missing equipment, performing minor repairs.

• Punctual and reliable
• Good communication skills
• Work independently
• Ability to lift and move lab equipment
• Help and assist with students and faculty.
• Willing to learn new things and be part of a team.
• This is a Federal Work Study position and applicants must be eligible.
