Position: 2026-27 Response to Intervention (RTI) Teacher (Elementary) - Math

Position: Interventionist, Multi-Subject Teacher (Elementary)

Reports to: Principal

Position Type: Part-time, working 186 days per year

SSSF Unified School District (SSFUSD) may combine this LCAP-funded position with a temporary 2026-27 Art Teacher (Elementary) 0.3 FTE posting at Junipero Serra for a total of 0.8 FTE, or fill it individually.

The Role

SSFUSD seeks a dynamic, equity-focused, and inclusive classroom teacher to join our school community. The teacher will be committed to examining and dismantling systemic biases, building relationships with students and families, and fostering an environment where all students can thrive.

  • Providing exceptional instruction, aligned to the Portrait of a Graduate and California State Common Core Standards.
  • Developing rigorous lessons aligned to grade and subject level standards.
  • Setting ambitious goals with students, monitoring progress, and providing persistent feedback.
  • Tracking student growth, using data, and creating individualized student plans when needed.
  • Building relationships with students and families through regular and consistent communication.
  • Creating a physical classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for students’ social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Facilitating engaging and rigorous learning experiences.
  • Collaborating with teachers and school leaders on daily lessons, school-wide programs, and student plans.
  • Meeting deadlines for daily lesson plans, submitting grades, and providing work samples.
  • Working with a team of teachers and school leaders to provide consistency, support, and accountability.
  • Engaging in professional development.
  • Completing supervision duties on campus such as morning, lunch, dismissal, and after‑school duty.
  • Participating in the greater school community through events and activities.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • California teaching credential aligned to the position.
  • English Learner (EL) Authorization.
  • Belief in and commitment to the mission and vision of SSFUSD.
  • Ability to design and implement rich, engaging, culturally relevant teaching units.
  • Knowledge of California State Common Core Standards.
  • Ability to differentiate lessons for learners with different assets.
  • A dedication to continual professional growth.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (SSFUSD does NOT sponsor employees to work in the U.S.).
