As an Electrical Engineering intern at Mill, you'll be working with a tight-knit, fast-paced team on a novel consumer product. Your day-to-day will include hands-on work with hardware components and lab equipment as well as schematic and layout design tools like Altium. Since we're a small team, your work and learning will span design, tooling, and testing as we push towards launch.
This internship is for someone who wants to learn and be creatively challenged.
- Work closely with the cross-functional mechanical, systems, and firmware teams on the design and validation of new products
- Run experiments to collect and analyze hardware performance, documenting and validating all results
- Support engineering build activities, partnering with CMs and other teams to track test data and troubleshoot issues
- Work alongside key engineers to root-cause problems and find solutions and workarounds
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or related field or can demonstrate equivalent experience
- Fundamental understanding of analog, digital, and power circuit design
- Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, and motor drivers
- Experience with test and measurement equipment like oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, etc
- Experience with Raspberry Pi, Python, or equivalent tools for scripting collection and analysis of data
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience with Altium or other schematic design tools
The estimated base hourly range for this position is $35 to $45, which does not include the value of benefits or a potential equity grant. A wide range of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, market conditions, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and business and organizational needs.
