About the Team Walmart's Corporate Development team is a small, high-performing group that partners with senior leadership to identify, evaluate, and execute strategic M&A initiatives. The team's mission is to drive value through acquisitions, investments, divestitures, and strategic partnerships, supporting Walmart's growth and innovation goals. As a Senior Manager, you'll collaborate with business and functional leaders, as well as external partners, to deliver impactful results.

What You'll Do...

  • Engage with Walmart business leaders to develop M&A strategy, identify and assess potential inorganic growth opportunities, and build consensus.
  • Develop and manage relationships with investment banking, private equity, and venture capital investors in retail, digital media, supply chain, and emerging technologies.
  • Lead all transaction-related financial modeling and valuation analysis to support deal execution.
  • Manage the diligence process by partnering with internal teams (legal, accounting, tax) and external advisors.
  • Build presentations for senior leadership that convey effective narratives, outline strategic trade-offs, and drive executive decision-making.
  • Support the Integration/Separation team on post-close planning and execution.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or a related field, with a strong track record in M&A execution.
  • Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, with the ability to analyze complex transactions and present clear recommendations.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with experience engaging both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of building compelling narratives for senior executives.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on driving results and supporting team success.
