Product Manager II, You Tube Growth Platform

About the role: The Growth Platform delivers billions of in‑app messages to viewers and creators to drive product growth and discovery. You will lead the machine‑learning roadmap for content promotional goals, working cross‑functionally with engineering, data science, marketing, and external OTT partners to drive engagement and subscription revenue.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in product management, taking technical consumer products from conception to launch.
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation methodologies.
- Experience building machine‑learning ranking algorithms to drive engagement.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with engineering, UX, and marketing to deliver platform features.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
- Experience with digital advertising products or growth marketing technology.
- Experience with machine‑learning experimentation methodologies.
- Experience delivering technical presentations to executive leadership and securing buy‑in for ML‑driven product ideas.
- Experience with ads relevance improvement for consumer products.
- Passion for the You Tube ecosystem and understanding of platform growth levers for creators and viewers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the growth platform ML roadmap for content promotional goals including both watchtime and free feature usage.
- Partner with engineering and data science to develop a ranking function for content promotional goals, using signals such as predicted watchtime and conversion rate.
- Partner with over‑the‑top (OTT) tech and marketing teams to drive incremental watchtime during livestream and cultural moments.
- Draft principles and guardrails on the types of content promotions we will support.
- Advocate growth platform impact for content promotional goals across You Tube tech teams.
Salary: $163,000 - $237,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
