Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with a strong foundation in machine learning, information retrieval, and LLMs. The selected candidate will architect and develop new Machine Learning models to enhance the Customer Intelligence and Segmentation landscape within Walmart. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and innovative professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.
Responsibilities- Develop generative AI LLM‑based applications, multi‑agent workflows, machine learning algorithms, and computational algorithms driven by business initiatives.
- Design GenAI chatbot, MCP, and RAG based applications.
- Gather, validate, and synthesize data into large analytics datasets to support project goals.
- Apply big‑data analytics and advanced data‑science techniques to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies; determine additional data needs.
- Create, train, and replicate statistical models and machine‑learning algorithms for future projects.
- Develop custom models and algorithms to drive business solutions and scale them to large data sets.
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs).
- 3‑5 years of experience as a technical data scientist building and deploying solutions.
- Solid understanding of machine‑learning models including Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machine, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting Decision, and Deep Neural Networks.
- Familiarity with Deep Learning frameworks such as Tensorflow and PyTorch.
- Experience with Cloud technologies including GCP, AWS, and Azure.
- Proficiency in Java and Python.
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field plus 3 years’ experience in an analytics related field.
- Or Master’s degree in one of the above fields plus 1 year’s experience.
- Or 5 years’ experience in analytics or related field.
- PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or Econometrics.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python, Spark, Scala, or R and experience with scikit‑learn, Tensorflow, or Torch.
- Experience creating inclusive digital experiences and knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
