Video commerce is revolutionizing the way that people decide what to buy. The You Tube Shopping team is at the forefront of this shift: connecting viewers to products they’ll love through the creators that they trust. Shopping is one of You Tube’s top priorities and represents a systemic shift in the platform: giving creators new ways to monetize, viewers a new way to engage with the creators they love, and retailers a new sales channel to build their businesses.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving merchant and creator growth and building next‑generation experiences that empower them globally. You will offer both Search and Creator Recommendations, powered by shopping data and our understanding of merchants, creators, and viewers—progressively moving towards intelligent workflow automation. You will be focused on growing merchant adoption and engagement on You Tube Shopping and empowering merchants to succeed by bringing the best‑in‑market value to creators and viewers on You Tube.
You will plan to leverage ML and AI technology to best match merchants and creators, surface avenues for their growth, and provide smart insights; you will also build the YT Affiliate Program for creators on You Tube.

- Leverage the You Tube Infrastructure to build software that has better debuggability, performance, and reliability.
- Partner with Product Management (PM), UX, and User Experience Research (UXR) to define product requirements, iterate on designs, and polish user‑centric solutions.
- Work with other engineering teams to deliver merchant experiences.
