• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
• 5 years of experience with iOS application development.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

In this role, you will lead an engineering team in architecture to the next generation of video editing on You Tube Shorts. Centered on an AI-first editing flow, you will solve the unique tests of building for millions of creators, moving the platform from traditional manual tools to an agentic orchestrator. You will scale the architecture to build core editing tools that deliver an exceptional, complete editing experience.

You will also have an opportunity to influence the road map of every partner team that works in Creation.
