Facilities Technician (Hourly)
Location: San Carlos, CA (on-site)

Role OverviewWe are seeking a Facilities Technician to support day‑to‑day site operations at our San Carlos headquarters.
This role focuses on hands‑on facilities support, basic handyman work, workspace setup, and general site upkeep to keep our HQ safe, organized, and operating smoothly.
This is an execution-focused role with minimal vendor coordination responsibilities. The ideal candidate is practical, reliable, and comfortable handling a wide range of small repairs and site support tasks independently. Candidates with HVAC or electrical certifications are especially encouraged to apply.
You Will- Support daily facilities operations to keep the headquarters running smoothly
- Perform basic handyman and light trade work (minor repairs, installs, adjustments, patch/paint, mounting)
- Assist with workspace setup and reconfigurations (desks, chairs, storage, meeting rooms)
- Assemble furniture and install small fixtures or equipment
- Receive, stage, and move deliveries, equipment, and supplies within the site
- Follow site safety procedures and maintain organized work areas
- Maintain clear egress paths, fire safety equipment access, and general site readiness
- Help maintain organized storage areas and common spaces
- Support simple preventative maintenance tasks (filters, basic replacements, checks)
- Identify issues proactively and elevate building or safety concerns when needed
- Occasionally assist vendors on‑site for access support (limited coordination required)
- Office setup and day‑to‑day headquarters support
- Basic maintenance and repair work
- Furniture and equipment moves
- Storage organization and inventory support
- Deliveries and internal material movement
- Light construction support (mounting, patching, hardware installs)
- Scope will be assigned based on experience and may evolve as the headquarters scales.
- 2+ years of experience in facilities support, maintenance, warehouse, construction support, or a hands‑on operations role
- Comfort using basic tools (hand tools, drills, ladders, etc.)
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams (Ops, EHS, Engineering, Admin)
- Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, changing environment
- Ability to lift and move items up to ~50 lbs regularly, and occasionally heavier items with assistance or equipment
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed for site needs, deliveries, or urgent issues
- Occasional overtime or off‑hours support may be required (planned or emergency)
- Experience supporting office, headquarters, or light manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with basic workplace safety practices
- Experience with pallet jacks, dollies, or light material handling equipment
- Basic patch/paint, mounting, or minor repair experience
- EPA 608 HVAC certification (or HVAC training/experience)
- Electrical Trainee (ET) card, electrician certification, or basic electrical maintenance experience
- Hourly Range: $25-$35/HR
