SUBSTITUTE SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAM ASSISTANT (SAN ONOFRE SCHOOL)
Fallbrook Union Elementary School District is a K‑8 district located about 50 miles northeast of San Diego, California. The San Onofre campus is located on Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base and accessed via the Basilone Gate from I‑5.
The successful candidate must be able to accomplish the following responsibilities in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner:
- Assist students with a patient and friendly attitude and provide oral support in a non‑judgemental, non‑reactive manner.
- Assist instructional personnel with the development of a variety of instructional materials.
- Assist in the presentation of physical and digital learning materials and instructional tasks.
- Perform other related job duties as assigned.

Qualifications- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade and either an Associate’s Degree of Arts (AA) or completion of 48 college/university semester units, or passing the FUESD proficiency test for this classification.
- Experience working with people of various cultures.
- One year of paid or volunteer experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable, preferably including children with special needs, supplemented by courses in atypical students, psychology or guidance.
- Alternative combinations of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.
- At least two references, preferably with one supervisor; recommendation letters should be dated within the past year.
- Letter of Recommendation – at least one (within the last year)
- NCLB Compliance – Proof of degree/transcripts (if applicable)
