Overview
We are seeking a Global Freight Management Specialist to oversee and optimize international freight operations across ocean, air, and ground transportation. This role is critical in ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost‑effective movement of goods while partnering cross‑functionally with internal teams and external logistics providers.

- Coordinate global shipments across ocean, air, FTL/LTL, and intermodal transport.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or issues.
- Manage shipping documentation and ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PLs to negotiate rates and service agreements.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and benchmark freight costs.
- Audit freight invoices and support accurate billing processes.
- Ensure adherence to international trade regulations and internal SOPs.
- Support documentation for audits and compliance reporting.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process optimization.
- Align freight strategies with supply chain, procurement, and customer service teams.
- Provide guidance to resolve cross‑border logistics challenges.
- Track and report KPIs (cost, transit time, service performance).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across transportation operations.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in global freight, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Experience managing multimodal international shipments and vendor relationships.
- Strong knowledge of global shipping processes, documentation, and Incoterms.
- Experience with TMS systems, freight audit tools, and Excel.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience working with global carriers, brokers, and 3PLs.
- Background in cost optimization strategies and routing guides.
