Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year

This is a hybrid position requiring time at two Southern California facilities each week. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between locations.

We're hiring a Global Freight & Logistics Specialist to own the day-to-day execution of domestic and international freight operations. This is a highly visible, hands-on individual contributor role supporting a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. You'll coordinate shipments across ocean, air, ground, and parcel carriers while partnering with internal teams and logistics providers to ensure products move efficiently throughout North America and internationally.

- Coordinate domestic and international shipments across ocean, air, ground, parcel, LTL, and FTL transportation
- Manage a high volume of outbound shipments while supporting inbound freight activities
- Track shipments from origin through delivery, proactively resolving transportation issues and delays
- Partner with internal teams to ensure products ship accurately and on time
- Monitor carrier performance and communicate shipment updates to key stakeholders
- Serve as the primary point of contact for transportation providers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners
- Support carrier selection, routing decisions, and freight cost management
- Build strong relationships with logistics vendors to ensure high service levels
- Prepare and review shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, customs documentation, and export paperwork
- Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations
- Audit freight invoices and resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate shipment records within ERP and logistics systems
- Identify opportunities to improve transportation costs, transit times, and operational efficiency
- Help develop and refine logistics processes and standard operating procedures
- Track logistics performance metrics and recommend improvements
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in global freight, logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations
- Hands-on experience coordinating domestic and international shipments
- Experience with ocean, air, ground, parcel, LTL, and/or FTL transportation
- Experience working with carriers, freight forwarders, or third-party logistics providers
- Knowledge of import/export processes, shipping documentation, and Incoterms
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using ERP, TMS, WMS, or other logistics systems
- Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or product-based organizations
- Customer-side logistics experience
- Experience improving freight costs, routing, or transportation efficiency
- SOP development or continuous process improvement experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
