Quality Inspector

Job Description

Qualifications:

• AA degree or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
• ASQ, Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or CQA
• Must have experience using metrology equipment, CMM (coordinate measurement machines)
• Proficiency in conducting First Article Inspection and applying Strong Statistical Process Controls (SPC).
• Competency in interpreting bills of materials (BOMs) and intricate engineering specifications.
• Demonstrated experience with both hand and advanced inspection instruments.
• Previous experience in inspecting plastic parts is a plus.
• Expertise in devising and executing inspection and test set-ups.

Responsibilities:

• Perform First Article Inspections.
• Take charge of planning, scheduling, and executing the metrology lab's calibration program.
• Develop and revise inspection work instructions as necessary.
• Provide support for incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Participate in engineering drawing reviews.
• Assume the role of lead auditor and actively engage in internal and external audit processes.
• Conduct functional testing on products to determine root causes of issues.
• Establish communication with suppliers to address and resolve problems and concerns.
• Collaborate with various departments and factories as needed to address and resolve part-related issues.
