Aboutthe Position
As an Armed Security Officer, you will join a highly trained security team that supports critical facilities, infrastructure, public venues, and personal protective services. You will be trained by qualified firearms instructors in safe weapons handling and marksmanship, and you will play an integral part in delivering specialized security services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Meet the requirements of all subordinate security positions.
- Establish relationships within the customer organization and deliver high‑quality services.
- Actively contribute to customer satisfaction.
- Be accountable for the quality of all deliverables.
- Plan, organize, direct, and control the security team for the assigned location during normal and emergency operations, including ensuring all posts are staffed for every shift.
- Identify improvements to delivery and execution of security services.
- Handle all administrative reporting, including reviewing and signing timesheets, maintaining shift incident reports and logs, and submitting accurate data for payroll.
- Develop staff in both technical and professional skills, including ongoing refresher training for all guards throughout the calendar year.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of security staff response, knowledge, and competency.
- Resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate the ability to resolve conflicts through de‑escalation techniques.
- Represent the supplier in the absence of the site security manager.
- Demonstrate knowledge of best practices in the security industry.
- Speak, read, and write English.
- Hold a guard card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigation Services.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency.
