About the role
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting warehouse operations through accurate receiving, shipping, inventory control, and material handling activities. Using SAP or similar MRP/ERP systems, this role ensures parts and materials are received and distributed in accordance with purchasing, production, and customer requirements.
Salary Range$25 - $28 hourly
Duties and Responsibilities- Receive inbound shipments and unpack boxes, crates, and containers using appropriate hand tools.
- Verify quantities and condition of received materials and record transactions in the company ERP system.
- Label and mark materials using identifying tags, labels, or permanent markers.
- Sort and store materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to established inventory locations and procedures.
- Distribute materials, parts, and products throughout the facility as needed.
- Weigh or count items for distribution to production to ensure accuracy and order compliance.
- Transport materials between warehouse, production areas, storage locations, or designated areas using hand trucks, carts, or forklifts.
- Pack and ship customer orders in accordance with sales orders or work orders.
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials and equipment within the facility.
- Perform inventory counts and record data during scheduled cycle counts or as required.
- Use computers and ERP systems to complete transactions and maintain accurate records.
- May operate a company vehicle to deliver or pick up materials from customers or suppliers.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with multiple levels of management.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and “can-do” approach.
- Experience using MRP/ERP systems.
- Ability to identify potential issues, communicate concerns, and recommend solutions.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments.
- Evening and/or weekend overtime may be required periodically.
- Position requires standing and walking for extended periods.
- Must be able to push and pull carts and material handling equipment.
- Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, and reach as required.
- Requires frequent use of hands, wrists, and fingers for handling materials and operating equipment.
- Must be able to see, hear, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently or continuously.
