Accounting Clerk

Description

Our client, a respected organization in the nonprofit sector, is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to support their mission-driven operations. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional to contribute to meaningful work while developing valuable skills within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely

+ Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations

+ Help maintain financial records and ensure proper documentation for compliance and audits

+ Support the preparation of reports, budgets, and grant documentation as needed

+ Perform data entry and verify the accuracy of invoices, payments, and receipts

+ Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and answer inquiries

+ Uphold confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information

Requirements

+ Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)

+ 1+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; nonprofit experience a plus

+ Familiarity with accounting software (such as Quick Books or similar)

+ Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills

+ Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic data entry tasks
