Bio Phase Solutions specializes in recruiting top talented professionals for Southern California's Life Sciences community. We are currently looking for an Accounting Manager for a leading San Diego area biotech company.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end accounting close process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all related tasks.
• Manage day-to-day operational accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.
• Supervise and provide coaching to a staff accountant, promoting their growth and development.
• Collaborate in refining the budgeting and forecasting processes, leveraging data to support critical operational decisions.
• Prepare annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Communicate effectively with external stakeholders, such as investors, auditors, and customers.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes to improve overall efficiency and support the team's objectives.
• Serve as the first point of contact for key financial, operational, and laboratory-related questions.
• Ensure segregation of duties and maintain strict internal controls as the company grows.
• Oversee and review key accounting schedules, reconciliations, and allocations to close the financial reporting cycle.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience, including both public accounting and industry experience. Public accounting experience at a large firm is preferred.
• Experience with commonly used ERPs is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Active CPA license is preferred.
