Sr. Accountant

Description

Are you an experienced accounting professional ready to make an impact at a dynamic organization? Our team in San Diego, CA is seeking a Senior Accountant who excels in fast-paced environments and is ready to drive financial integrity and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

+ Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting.

+ Oversee accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger activities.

+ Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline accounting procedures and maintain robust internal controls.

+ Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to guide informed business decisions.

+ Support external audits and ensure timely compliance with all regulatory requirements.

+ Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

+ 3+ years of relevant accounting experience; public accounting background a plus.

+ Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and expertise in accounting software (Microsoft D365, Oracle Net Suite, SAP, Quick Books, Workday).

+ Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and payroll management.

+ Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

+ Ability to thrive when priorities shift and deadlines approach.

BI, SQL, or Python for reporting and data analysis.

+ CPA license or candidacy highly valued.
