Manufacturing​/GL Accountant

This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with 5+ years of progressive cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment who enjoys diving into the details and driving financial clarity. In this role, you will report to the North America controller and work out of our new San Diego HQ office with the executive team.

• Perform month‑end and year‑end close activities across multiple entities.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger analyses.
• Reconcile subledgers to the general ledger monthly.
• Manage standard costing, inventory valuation, COGS, and variance analysis.
• Maintain and improve cost‑accounting policies and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Oversee inventory accounting, including reconciliations, valuation, and excess/obsolete reviews.
• Implement controls and best practices to enhance inventory accuracy and reduce waste.
• Identify opportunities to streamline cost‑accounting processes and drive ERP automation.
• Partner with manufacturing, supply chain and procurement teams to understand cost drivers.
• Support internal and external audits with timely documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong expertise in costing, variance analysis, forecasting, and inventory accounting.
• Advanced Excel;
  Great Plains or Microsoft Dynamics strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Interest in leveraging AI and automation tools for efficiency.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.
