Job SummaryThe Senior Accountant will perform complex tasks to include specialized financial reporting and conduct deep‑diving analyses to evaluate the fiscal impact of complex corporate projects and transactions.
Job Responsibilities- Perform month‑end reconciliations of accounts and provide reasonable explanations and insightful analysis of the components of assigned accounts.
- Prepare month‑end journal entries.
- Process daily cash receipts and maintain banking/cash files.
- Submit receiving reports and invoices in iRPT for customer deliveries.
- Prepare Cost‑Plus billings and ensure appropriate approvals have been received prior to submittal.
- Support internal audit engagements and external audit engagements (DCMA).
- Review AR aging and follow up with customers for cash collections.
- Perform daily inventory reconciliation and monthly inventory reporting.
- Maintain fixed asset subsidiary ledger.
- Prepare sales and use‑tax analysis and submit monthly prepayments and quarterly returns.
- Prepare and complete tax provisions including but not limited to 1099s, property tax, income tax, fixed assets, prepaids, IRAD.
- Provide support/back‑up for various departments including payroll, sales order processing, and invoicing.
- Prepare financial reports in FCC/Essbase.
- Participate in invoicing and cash forecasting.
- Lead tasks or aspects of a task or project and provide guidance to less experienced staff members.
- Recommend improvements to accounting policies and procedures.
- Advanced skills in Excel.
- CPA license.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 5+ years of directly related experience, preferably in a government contracting environment (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience).
The salary range for this position is $83,527/year – $119,480/year. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity.
Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for annual performance‑based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non‑exempt employees as applicable).
