Your next role as a Miracle Maker

Maravai Life Sciences is seeking a #Miracle Maker to join our accounting team as a Senior Accountant. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting Maravai Life Sciences’ public company accounting and reporting requirements. This position is responsible for equity and payroll accounting, stock plan administration, and technical accounting activities, while contributing to month‑end close, SEC reporting, and audit readiness.

The ideal candidate brings strong U.S. GAAP expertise, experience in equity and stock‑based compensation, and the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.

How you will make an impact:

  • Execute month‑end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for equity, payroll, bonus, and benefit accounts.
  • Own stock‑based compensation accounting, including expense recognition, reconciliations, roll‑forwards, and disclosure support.
  • Administer ESPP and stock‑based compensation programs, including transactions, vesting, and participant activity.
  • Process equity awards and restricted stock activity within stock plan administration platforms.
  • Calculate and reconcile bonus accruals and non‑controlling interest.
  • Support payroll‑related accounting activities and reconciliations in partnership with HR and Payroll.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for quarterly and annual SEC filings and earnings materials related to equity, payroll, and compensation.
  • Conduct accounting research and prepare technical accounting memoranda under U.S. GAAP and FASB guidance.
  • Perform variance analysis to explain key period‑over‑period financial movements.
  • Partner with FP&A on budgeting and forecasting of equity‑ and payroll‑related costs.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with SOX controls and U.S. GAAP, drive process improvements.
  • Perform other functions and duties as required.

The skills and experience that you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required with 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or a publicly traded company environment. CPA strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and FASB codification, including ASC 606 and stock‑based compensation accounting.
  • Hands‑on experience with equity accounting and stock‑based compensation in a public company environment.
  • Experience supporting SEC reporting, external audits, and Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) compliance.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Net Suite preferred) and equity administration platforms (e.g., Fidelity or Certent).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality, and capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $94,125 - $100,147. In addition, highly competitive long‑term incentives in the form of company equity, bonus participation and company‑sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total compensation package. The salary offer will depend on…
