Accounting Clerk

Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for a company in San Diego, CA. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with experience supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including data entry, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and recordkeeping.

The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Process and enter financial transactions accurately into the accounting system

+ Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment tracking

+ Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer accounts

+ Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation

+ Assist with month-end close activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations

+ Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding billing, payments, and account activity

+ Help prepare reports and spreadsheets for accounting and finance teams

+ Verify accuracy of financial data and identify discrepancies for review

+ Support internal controls and follow established accounting procedures

+ Assist with other administrative and accounting tasks as needed
