JGD & Associates LLP, a leading San Diego CPA Firm located in UTC, is hiring for a Tax Manager with a minimum of 5-6+ years of relevant public accounting experience to work in our La Jolla area office. CPA license is required.

Responsibilities- Review complex tax returns, including multi-state returns for Individuals, Estates and Trusts, Partnerships, S Corporations, and other business entities
- Technical research
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS, state, and other tax authorities
- Analyze the scope of each engagement to manage schedules, budgets, and deadlines
- Monitor compliance with due dates and within time budgets
- Supervision, assign duties and training staff
- Mentor and coach staff members in their development
- Supervise numerous engagements simultaneously
- Direct interaction with Partners and Clients
- Ability to play a key role in business development by generating leads, expanding client services and networking in the community
- Assist with client billings

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Masters in Taxation preferred
- 5-6+ years of recent experience in tax with a public accounting firm
- CPA License
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

- Pro System FX or CCH Axcess experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay:
Depending on experience, $110,000 to $150,000 annually
