Overview
Excellent opportunity to join Qualcomm’s accounting team, supporting emerging and evolving businesses. This role partners closely with cross‑functional business and finance leaders to support critical business functions. The incumbent will act as a strategic advisor for accounting conclusions on complex and non‑standard arrangements and will play a key role in process transformation to design scalable, efficient, and compliant operations that support our growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with business unit finance teams and technical accounting to review new contracts and deal proposals, providing accurate accounting guidance on complex and non‑standard arrangements in accordance with ASC
606. - Support mergers and acquisitions, including opening balance sheet review and integration.
- Serve as the key point of contact for general accounting inquiries related to emerging businesses.
- Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and data analytics to optimize existing processes, improve operational efficiency, and generate actionable insights.
- Perform quarter‑end close activities including journal entries, flux analysis, and preparation of schedules supporting quarterly and annual filings (10‑Q, 10‑K).
- Provide guidance for system and tool enablement for new revenue models, billing, and collections processes.
- Detail‑oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with global and cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong time‑management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset and comfortable learning new tools and systems.
- End‑to‑end process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, project management, and problem‑solving skills.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4+ years of finance, accounting, or related work experience.
- 2+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
- Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years of work experience (Master’s = 1 year, Doctorate = 2 years).
- 6+ years of finance, accounting, or related work experience.
- Working knowledge of Tableau, Oracle, TM1 and Salesforce Billing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- CPA certification or country equivalent with audit experience.
Pay range: $98,000.00 - $. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a competitive annual discretionary bonus program, RSU grants, and a comprehensive benefits package that supports success at work, at home, and at play.
