Responsibilities- Manage the accounting for a portfolio of Homeowners Associations (HOAs) and residential rental properties.
- Perform full-cycle accounting, including:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- General Ledger entries
- Journal entries
- Bank reconciliations
- Monthly financial statement preparation
- Month-end closing
- Upload, review, code, and process vendor invoices.
- Coordinate with our third-party accounting firm to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly financial packages for HOA Boards of Directors and residential property owners.
- Reconcile operating, reserve, and trust accounts.
- Assist with budgets, reserve funding, and annual audit preparation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry accounting standards.
- Support property managers, vendors, homeowners, and Board members with accounting-related inquiries.
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with preference given to candidates experienced in:
- Homeowners Association (HOA) accounting
- Residential property management accounting
- Experience using property management accounting software is highly preferred, including:
- CINC Systems (HOA Accounting)
- Rentvine (Residential Property Management)
- Quick Books
- Candidates without direct experience in CINC Systems or Rentvine are encouraged to apply if they possess strong accounting fundamentals and are willing to learn new software platforms quickly.
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
