Staff Accountant

Description

Robert Half is partnering with a growing organization to identify a Staff Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professional looking to contribute to a collaborative team while gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

+ Perform day-to-day general ledger accounting activities

+ Prepare and post journal entries and accruals

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

+ Prepare bank and account reconciliations

+ Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed

+ Review and analyze financial data for accuracy

+ Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports

+ Research and resolve accounting discrepancies

+ Support audit requests and other accounting projects

+ Maintain accurate and organized accounting records

Requirements

Requirements:

+ 2+ years of accounting experience

+

Experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations

+ Understanding of month-end close processes

+ Strong Excel skills

+

Experience with an ERP or accounting software system

+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Strong communication and analytical abilities

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
