Billing Analyst II

Schedule: Monday to Thursday on-site, Friday Remote

Duration: 6-Month contract, potential for extension

Responsibilities:

• Perform quality assurance reviews of billing processes completed by third-party service providers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Process utility billing transactions, including billing adjustments, rebills, and exception resolution.
• Review and apply rate schedules, tariffs, customer classifications, and billing rules to ensure accurate invoice generation.
• Analyze usage data, billing determinants, and account configurations to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Investigate and resolve routine billing exceptions and customer billing inquiries in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and established billing procedures.
• Provide guidance, quality review, and operational support to third-party service providers to maintain billing accuracy and process consistency.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience in utility billing, billing operations, or billing quality assurance.
• Experience processing billing adjustments, rebills, and resolving billing exceptions.
• Working knowledge of utility rate schedules, tariffs, customer classifications, and billing regulations.
• Ability to analyze billing data and identify discrepancies or process improvements.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and quality assurance.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support cross-functional teams and third-party service providers.
