Sr. Accountant

Description

Robert Half is partnering with a growing life sciences organization to identify a Senior Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who is comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

+ Manage day-to-day general ledger accounting activities

+ Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments

+ Lead and support the month-end and year-end close processes

+ Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations

+ Analyze account activity and investigate variances

+ Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting

+ Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management activities as needed

+ Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

+ Support audit and tax preparation requests

+ Assist with technical accounting and special projects as needed

+ Maintain accurate accounting records in the company's ERP system

+ Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, and other internal teams

Requirements

Requirements:

+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

+ Strong general ledger and month-end close experience

+ Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations

+ Strong understanding of GAAP

+ Life sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, or other regulated industry experience preferred

+

Experience with ERP systems such as Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, or similar

+ Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, and financial analysis

+ Experience supporting audits and financial reporting

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
