Position Summary
The Associate Accountant is responsible for the accurate calculation, processing, and reporting of sales commissions. This role partners with Sales, Finance, and HR to ensure compensation plans are applied correctly, commission payments are accurate, and reporting is reliable. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in working with compensation and financial data.

Responsibilities

Calculate and process bi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales commissions.
Maintain and validate commission data, including sales results, quotas, and adjustments.
Reconcile commission calculations and resolve discrepancies.
Partner with Sales and HR to ensure accurate interpretation and application of commission plans.
Prepare commission reports and analyses for management.
Support process improvements, internal controls, and audit compliance.
Assist with month-end and year-end close activities related to commissions.
Respond to commission-related inquiries from sales employees.
Support commission system enhancements and reporting within Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–5 years of accounting, finance, or financial analysis experience.
Sales commission or incentive compensation experience preferred.
Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and formulas.
Experience with ERP systems;
Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
