Position Summary
We are a growing power tools and pest control equipment wholesaler seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support our accounting and financial operations. This role will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient accounting processes. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Net Suite ERP, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable being on-site and highly engaged with daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and fixed assets
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate inventory accounting, costing, and variance analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
- Assist with external audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements
- Serve as a key Net Suite resource, including system optimization, reporting, and troubleshooting
- Mentor and support accounting staff as needed
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA-track preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in wholesale, distribution, or manufacturing environments
- Strong Net Suite ERP experience required
- Solid understanding of GAAP and inventory accounting
- Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial reporting tools a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Comfortable working on-site in San Diego five days per week

The anticipated salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000, depending on experience (exempt role, not eligible for overtime).
