Sr. Accountant

Description

Our client, a dynamic and growing technology company in San Diego, CA, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This position will play a key role in supporting the organization's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and helping maintain strong internal controls in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis. Key Responsibilities

+ Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity

+ Lead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

+ Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial statements and management reports

+ Analyze financial data and research variances to ensure reporting accuracy

+ Maintain fixed asset schedules, accruals, and prepaid expense reconciliations

+ Support audit activities and assist with providing documentation for external auditors

+ Help ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal accounting controls

+ Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies

+ Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis as needed

+ Support ERP and system-related accounting initiatives, including process enhancements

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the technology industry

+ Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting

+

Experience with month-end close and variance analysis

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems

+ Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

+ CPA or CPA-track preferred

+ Experience in a public accounting and/or corporate accounting environment

+ Familiarity with systems such as Net Suite, Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP platforms

+ Experience working in a high-growth or fast-paced technology company
