Accounting Manager Consultant

A Robert Half Management Resources client is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager Consultant to support the accounting team during an acquisition and integration period. This consultant will play a key role in month-end close, account reconciliations, balance sheet cleanup, intercompany accounting, and process improvement initiatives. Strong Net Suite experience is required, along with the ability to identify accounting issues, determine root causes, and implement practical solutions.

Estimated 3-6 months. 100% remote

Key Responsibilities:

• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Lead balance sheet account analysis and cleanup efforts.
• Manage complex reconciliations and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Support intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and eliminations.
• Assist with multi-entity accounting and consolidated reporting.
• Maintain lease accounting schedules and related entries.
• Review and improve automated journal entry processes.
• Identify accounting issues, understand root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Support acquisition and post-acquisition integration activities.
• Partner with Finance, FP&A, and operational leaders on accounting matters.
• Assist with audit support and accounting process improvements.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or consulting experience.
• Strong Net Suite experience required.
• Extensive experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-entity environments.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation and cleanup experience.
• Experience with lease accounting and automated journal entries preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot accounting issues, identify root causes, and drive resolution.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• CPA preferred but not required.
